Chevaunne Shine | Canadian Babe Turned Naija Wife | Month of Favours

My Testimony of Favours in the Month of Favours.

April was declared the month of favours by my pastor, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. I must confess, it has been a month of unexpected blessings and beautiful reminders of God’s faithfulness. I received and shared favours everywhere! Let me share my testimony of favours with you.

What the Month of Favour Means to Me

As soon as Pastor declared the word of the month, the favours started. I prayed and declared the word over my life. Like many others, I declared favour at work and prayed for open doors — and God answered in ways that still leave me speechless. It started with someone randomly paying for my lunch. I was so blessed, I decided to do the same for someone else.

However, the moment that stood out most was when I call an Uber to take me to church. The first driver I called so aggressive. He kept trying to charge me an amount beyond what the app said so I cancelled the ride and got another. This driver was so cool and calm and didn’t raise his voice at all. At one point we got stuck in traffic. I thought for sure he was going to get loud but he didn’t. When the ride ended, I decided to show him favour and payed almost double the cost of the ride on the app. I was really grateful for his good attitude during this transaction and he was also so grateful for the extra funds.

Final Reflection

It really is more blessed to give than receive. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that God’s favour is everywhere. It isn’t just when you receive but also when you give. Expressing the favour of God creates an atmosphere of grace, gratitude and love. Then the spirit of God has freedom to move and make impact in our lives.

As we step into a new month, I’m carrying this gratitude with me — and I invite you to do the same. Look around you: God’s favour is closer than you think.

How did you experience favours this month? I would love to hear your testimony — feel free to share in the comments below! Let’s celebrate His goodness together. 🤍
