Product Review: Flawless Ivy HD Foundation
So I decided it was time to try and embrace Nigeria. I thought the best place to start is be supporting locally made brands, starting with what I use everyday… my makeup. Although, I should admit I was almost forced to do so considering the price of Imported makeup has tripled in the last year. So goodbye Maybelline, hello Nigerian brands.
The brands that are popping up on my social media feeds are Zaron, Flawless Ivy and Nuban Beauty…so I’m gonna start with these. I went to my local makeup shop and bought the Flawless Ivy HD Foundation..It’s currently priced at #6,500 on the Flawless Ivy Website. I like to look a little tan, sun kissed, golden, so I got mine in the shade Honey.
My concerns with trying a new makeup brand is that it will cause breakouts or a rash or worse! I’ve seen some horror stories with different reactions to “fake” makeup. Thankfully, there were no issues. I’m extremely happy.
What I love about Flawless Ivy HD Foundation
- The full coverage and natural finishing makes my skin look so smooth. My face really looks flawless when I wear this foundation.
- The creamy texture makes it easy to spread so a little bit goes a long way.
- The packaging is very chic!
The only “issue” I have with this brand is that there are only 8 shades of foundation available and they don’t take undertones into account so this shade was really too yellow for my linking. However, with contouring I am able to dial down the yellowness.
I really enjoy wearing Flawless Ivy HD Foundation. Not only have I used their foundation but also their eyeshadow pallet and primer spray. I’ll do my reviews on those products later.
Have you used this foundation before? What are your thoughts? Post is the comments.
